The 2025 H-E-B Austin Sunshine Run races on certified 5K and 10K courses along W Cesar Chavez St. in downtown Austin, parallel to beautiful Lady Bird Lake. We aim to provide a great experience for the whole family, with our 5K and 10K options, the Tomlinson's Fastest Dog in Austin 5K, and our Kids K.
If you are going to run with your dog, please register for the Fastest Dog in Austin 5K. It helps the Sunshine Run bring in pet related sponsors when we know how many pooches we have out each year. There are also special perks for Fastest Dog runners, so we need to know how many to budget for. Thank you!
We continue to offer Virtual 5K & 10K options for all of our supporters to participate remotely. No matter where you are located, grab some friends and run your own 5K or 10K.
WHY WE RUN: All of the proceeds and funds raised from the Sunshine Run benefit historically underinvested youth of Central Texas through life-changing experiences at the Austin Sunshine Camps (ASC) at no cost to their families. Campers receive a free ten-day, nine-night Summer Camp experience at our Zilker Park and Lake Travis facilities.
