Austin Fitness Community ("AFC") is an independent fitness, wellness, media, entertainment, and community-focused platform dedicated to covering the people, businesses, events, organizations, and stories that make Austin's fitness community unique.

Our editorial policy outlines the principles we use when creating and publishing AFC content.

Our Mission
AFC exists to inform, entertain, connect, and highlight the Austin fitness and wellness community.

Our content may include articles, interviews, documentaries, videos, podcasts, social media content, business features, event coverage, reviews, and other forms of media.

Editorial Independence
AFC strives to maintain editorial independence and make content decisions based on relevance, audience interest, community value, storytelling opportunities, and editorial judgment.

Advertising, sponsorship, or other commercial relationships do not automatically guarantee editorial coverage or a favorable editorial opinion.

Sponsored Content and Advertising
AFC works with brands, businesses, organizations, and sponsors.

When content is paid for, sponsored, or otherwise involves a material commercial relationship, AFC will make reasonable efforts to clearly identify that relationship through labels such as:

A commercial relationship does not necessarily mean AFC endorses every claim or opinion associated with the partner.

Businesses may be featured because of their relevance to the Austin community, newsworthiness, uniqueness, community involvement, audience interest, partnerships, or other editorial considerations.

AFC strives to produce content that is:

Respectful — We aim to treat individuals, businesses, and organizations fairly.
